Como instalar gimp 2.8 en ubuntu 12.04

Hace ya un tiempo salio gimp 2.8 pero en los repositorios oficiales de ubuntu aun no esta disponible. Gracias a la activa comunidad lo podemos instalar desde otros repositorios, hoy les mostrare como.

-Abrimos una consola y ejecutamos los siguientes comandos.

-Agregamos el repositorio

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:otto-kesselgulasch/gimp
[sudo] password for cabrera:

 This PPA is only for Precise Pangolin (12.04) and Linux Mint 13 (Maya).
We have tested the upstream release: Gimp-2.8.2

-Actualizamos

sudo apt-get update

-Instalamos

sudo apt-get install gimp

-Asi se ve gimp 2.8 con mi escritorio detras
